£3,000 UK Visa Bond: British High Commissioner Allays Nigerians Fear

For those still worried about Britain’s plan to impose a £3,000 visa bond on Nigerians, well the British High Commissioner, Andrew Pocock has restated that such an initiative will not come to force and deter Nigerians from going to the UK.

He said that if at all it is considered; only a small minority of high risk individuals will be affected.

Mr Pocock addressed this issue during an exclusive interview with Channels Television’s correspondent Doris Okenwa in Abuja.

He said the British government will not jeopardize diplomatic ties with Nigeria with any move that will call the relationship between both nations to question.

According to the UK authorities, the new visa policy affects nationals of Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Ghana.
